Information by the organisers, Namibia Institute for Democracy (NID) and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Namibia (FES):

The Psychological Implications of Genocide

As we turn toward healing, we ask: How does the past live within us today?

Join us for the first public dialogue in our Trilogy to the Future series – an honest and necessary conversation about the psychological impact of the Ovaherero – Nama genocide, transgenerational trauma, and what healing could look like for the generations to come.

With voices from psychology, advocacy, and lived experience, we’re creating space for reflection, truth, and the future of reconciliation.

Panelists:
Joyce Muzengua, Human Rights Activist & Vice Chairperson of the Ovaherero Genocide Foundation (LinkedIn Profile)
Edwina Mensah-Husselmann, Clinical Psychologist & Trauma Specialist (LinkedIn Profile)
