“Intergenerational Dialogue
The NID in conjunction with FES, will host an intergenerational dialogue under Threads to Remembrance: Building an Inclusive and Informed Namibia.
Jacinta Kasume, event moderator, and Sylvia Mundjindi, FES project manager, provide insight on this.”
Editor’s note:
‘Intergenerational dialogue under Threads to Remembrance’ is a four-part discussion series, organised and run by the Namibia Institute for Democracy (NID) and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES).
The first discussion is titled “Cultural Erasure and Memory Reclamation”.
What happens when language is silenced, memory is fractured, and culture is pushed to the margins? And how do we reclaim what was taken?
The poet and language activist Nesindao Namises and the academic and social theorist Dr. Basilius Kasera will contribute their knowledge and insights.
The discussion will take place on Thursday, 19 February 2026, 17:30, at the Gateway Conference Centre on Cnr. Hans-Dietrich Genscher St. & Florence Nightingale St.
